This is not a live online auctions.  The absentee set up is for those that will not be able to attend the auction, they are just absentee bidders.  I understand everyones concern regarding bids online, as we are auction goers along with auctioneers.  This is not going to be a bid online auction while the auction is in progress.  The absentee bidders are charged 15% buyers premium if the items is shipped, while the attendees are not charge a buyers premium if the auction is held at the auction house.  The person attending the auction is our priority we will give the person attending the auction the opportunity to bid $10.00 etc. first before setting in an absentee bidder at $10.00 etc.  This should not be an issue for those attending the live auction. We hope this helps and does not discourage you from attending the auction.  Thanks for your interest.
